AMBULATORY AND MEDICAL CLINICS

IPCxpert provides Infection control written programs for outpatient facilities as framed by the CDC “Guide to Infection Prevention for Outpatient Settings: Minimum Expectations for Safe Care.” 

IPCxpert delivers onsite visits to all ambulatory medical clinics to ensure compliance with accreditation guidelines. A detailed report with a suggested action plan will be provided.  Scope of provided consultant services include but are not limited to:

• Written analysis of findings and suggestions for areas of improvement.
• Infection control policy development and revision.
• Safe injection and medication management.
• Standard precautions and extended precautions. 
• Report disease notification requirements for state, Federal, and accreditation surveyors. 
• Pre- clean at point-of- use. 
• Clean – disinfection environment.
• Hand hygiene program implementation, designing, and monitoring. 
• Infection control responsibilities in the ambulatory setting.
• Clean utility room, soiled utility room, and biohazard keeping room policies and guidelines.
• Cleaning and disinfection of patient equipment (under separate cover).

IPCxpert conducts on-site visits to assess best practices within the private practice setting, provides educational services to ensure staff are well informed and develops infection prevention and control programs in the form of a manual that is user-friendly and in compliance with state regulations and CDC guidance.
