IPCxpert will deliver a customized infection control program that is suited for the facilities of existing medical services, trauma level, geographic location, served patients population, community involvement, and emerging infectious diseases. Risk factors will be scored to guide facilities efforts to prevent transmission of infectious organisms via detailed surveillance plan, data analysis, program evaluation, and goals development.
Infection control risk assessment, plan, evaluation, and goals are major requirements of the infection control program by Joint Commission (JC), DNV and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). The hospital risk assessment must be developed annually and as needed based on emerging of new risk factors. Infection prevention and control risk assessments will be conducted to identify actual and potential risk factors that produce a threat for patients receiving care in healthcare facilities, examples include: System-wide infection control risk assessment, Legionella risk assessment, Infection control risk assessment (ICRA) for construction in healthcare facilities, TB risk assessment, overriding temperature risk assessment, high-level disinfection workflow in limited space, etc..
Additionally, IPCxpert will provide standardized training, education and a competency checklist for newly hired Infection Preventionists. Tracer tools will be used for compliance with standards of infection control, high-level disinfection, sterilization, hand hygiene compliance, construction rounds, and national patient safety goals are provided in the training package.
IPCxpert provides training on National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) patient safety surveillance for Central Line-Associated Blood Stream Infection (CLABSI), Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infection (CAUTI), C. diff, Ventilator-associated Pneumonia (VAP), Ventilator-Associated Event (VAE), Surgical Site Infection (SSI), and Multi-Drug Resistant organisms (MDROs). Furthermore, we are experts in patient safety tools to analyze and prevent infection, such as apparent cause analysis, root cause analysis and “Plan-Do-Study-Act" (PDSA).
